Hola, I’m Michelle Flores Vryn!
____
Full bio:
Michelle Flores Vryn, CFRE, is a strategic fundraiser and marketer with 15+ years of driving results across conservation, education, and civic engagement nonprofits. From major gifts to message strategy, she bridges brand and revenue to move missions forward. Michelle's work lives at the intersection of values alignment and storytelling — helping nonprofits find the words, the clarity, and the confidence to fund their boldest ideas.
Michelle co-founded the AI Equity Project, the Social Impact Staff Retention Project, and the Community-Centric Fundraising (CCF) Texas Chapter, which all sit squarely at the intersection of values-alignment and the future of work. Michelle frequently writes and speaks on building healthier nonprofit systems and serves as the Vice Chair of Professional Development on the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Global Board of Directors.
Outside of work, you can find her on long walks with her dogs, discussing big ideas with her (endlessly patient) husband, provoking nonprofit conversations on LinkedIn, and maintaining her 20-year daily meditation practice. It's awkward to write in the third person, right? I made myself do it anyway.
#wecandohardthingsShort bio (42 words): Michelle is a fundraiser, marketer and writer working to reshape the incentive structures and systems shaping mission-driven work. She champions conservation, civic engagement, and capacity building—and believes that structural alignment, strong brands, and thoughtful systems design are what make nonprofits thrive.
